What’s Certified Pre-Owned?

Certified pre-owned is the perfect balance between new and used cars. Similar to used cars, CPO vehicles have been owned and operated by at least one other driver. Though, like new cars, CPO vehicles have been maintained and outfitted with the best parts to ensure it operates like those vehicles that have just rolled off the factory line.

How Does a Hyundai Become Certified Pre-Owned?

While all CPO vehicles are used, not all used cars qualify for the CPO program. That’s because only vehicles that are less than six years old and have fewer than 80,000 miles are considered for the program.

This is only the first step in the process, though. After it meets the year/mileage requirements, it must then undergo a rigorous multi-point inspection. If the inspection passes and the vehicle has a clean CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™, will it earn its CPO badge.
